Stratford, ON – Avonova, Stratford’s technology association, is hosting
what promises to be a perspective warping evening with Greg Dick,
Director of Educational Outreach at Perimeter Institute for Theoretical
Physics. The meeting is Tuesday, April 3rd, 7-9PM, in the President’s
Lounge at the Stratford Country Club. The public is invited and
admission is free.
The Perimeter Institute, a favourite haunt of Stephen Hawking, is one
of the world’s leading centres for theoretical physics in nearby
Waterloo ON. Greg will be sharing some of the universe’s most
profound mysteries, and the relevance and impact of this “pure
science” on the technologies that we use every day. So if you’ve ever
wondered about that mysterious, intriguing black building near Erb
and King in Waterloo, come find out.
Greg is an award winning educator and author with a passion for the
mysteries and significance of physics, from multi-verses down to
quarks and leptons. He and his associates deliver educational
presentations across Canada, Europe and Africa, including national
television broadcasts, large scale science festivals, and an educational
